The NBHA-PR experience
Welcome to the world of barrel racing!
The NBHA-PR is dedicated to providing all barrel racing enthusiasts and related events with a platform to connect, compete, and celebrate the sport. Join us in promoting the passion for barrel racing and creating a supportive and unified community for all.
NBHA-PR is committed to ethics, transparency and fair treatment for all its members, protecting the integrity of the sport and promoting fair and inclusive competition.
Our events, in addition to being a competition, a place for camaraderie and a celebration of the sport, are a training system where, together with professional clinics, we prepare our members to proudly represent Puerto Rico at the NBHA World Championships in Georgia. Countries such as the United States, Australia, Belgium, France, England, Ireland, Italy, Panama, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, among others, will be participating. This fosters cultural exchange through the practice of the sport, as well as opening doors to camaraderie and a network of friendship among riders from different countries.
Barrel racing is for everyone
Join NBHA-PR and become part of a community where the love for barrel racing knows no bounds. No matter your age, gender, experience level, or horse breed, there's a place for you at NBHA-PR. With our system of categories and divisions, jockeys of all levels have a real opportunity to participate, win, and access all the benefits and opportunities that NBHA-PR has to offer.

System of Divisions
NBHA-PR is an affiliated organization of the NBHA, recognized worldwide as the global leader in the sport of barrel racing with over 20,000 members across five continents. It was the first organization to emphasize divisional barrel racing. From day one, all competitions were scored by division, with the fastest time being 1D (or Division 1), and subsequent divisions calculated in half-second increments. Prize money is distributed proportionally, but the recognition is the same for all divisions.
NBHA-PR recognizes the importance of each of our riders, and for this reason, we have adopted the division system and adapted it to our specific circumstances. This allows competitors at all levels to have a real opportunity to win prizes as they progress in the sport. This system recognizes their hard work from day one and incentivizes them to continue growing and improving throughout their careers.
